New York, NY – Bronx residents are being let back into their apartments after an overnight evacuation due to high carbon monoxide levels.
Con Ed emergency crews are at the scene trying to determine the source of the leak.
The FDNY responded to the apartment building on 1750 Grand Concourse in Mount Hope around 2:30 a.m.
Sixty-six apartments were evacuated, leaving people stranded outside before MTA buses were provided for them to wait in.
Residents say it’s been a long morning.
“I’m exhausted. I haven’t slept at all. It’s just been a long wait. Very exhausting,” said one resident.
No injuries were reported, and Con Ed is still investigating.
