An elderly southern Indiana couple dies in what authorities are calling a tragic accident.

The Greene County Coroner’s office reports James and Elizabeth Letsinger, both age 90, were found dead in their home southeast of Bloomfield on Tuesday.

Coroner Brian Gainey says the couple had been out on Sunday and when they returned home they apparently left the car running in a basement garage.

Authorities found no indications of foul play at the scene.

The preliminary cause of death is being listed as carbon monoxide poisoning.
