Corvallis, OR – About a dozen fraternity members at OSU, were evacuated by their president right before an explosion destroyed their basement and the living room above, and sent glass flying 75 feet.
The explosion Saturday happened during the Beavers-Cal game. Eight students were watching the game at the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, when frat President Christopher Gerritz smelled gas and noticed a problem in the boiler room. He got everyone out of the frat house before the blast, which knocked two walls off their foundation.
