Turtle Lake, WI- An explosion destroyed a cabin in near Turtle Lake, Wisconsin Thursday night.
Parts of the cabin were scattered up to 50 yards away in the blast, with much of it ending up in the lake. The Wisconsin DNR will spend Friday in Upper Turtle Lake helping with the investigation.
Nobody was inside the cabin that exploded, but many people in the area for the weekend heard the blast.
It was phenomenal — the amount of force you felt when that thing went off, a neighbor said. Just unbelievable.
The fire chief speculates a propane leak could be the cause of the explosion.
Turtle Lake is about 75 miles northeast of the Twin Cities.
