Mallard, IA – WOI-TV – A northern Iowa woman remains hospitalized following an explosion in her home near Mallard earlier this week.
Jean Jones was injured in the blast Monday night. A preliminary investigation by the state fire marshal’s office points to a propane leak inside the home as a possible cause.
Officials say a person driving by Jones’ home called 9-1-1. Another passer-by took Jones to her a hospital in Emmetsburg. She was later transferred to hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
