Harrison Township, OH – A Montgomery County woman said she was falling asleep inside her home when the sound of an explosion woke her up.
The fire happened at a home in the Shady Lawn Mobile Home Park in Harrison Township late Monday afternoon.
Officials with the Harrison Township Fire Department said the woman escaped the home without any serious injuries, but the fire severely damaged the house.
The woman said he noticed the smell of propane moments before the explosion happened, and she said she believes the fire’s source was the home’s furnace.
Fire investigators have not made a ruling on the cause of the fire yet, but said they are looking at the furnace as a possibility.
