Poinciana, FL – A Polk County couple who tried to stay warm during the cold weekend were apparently poisoned by carbon monoxide.
Emergency crews found them at their Poinciana home Sunday afternoon, WESH NewsChannel 2 reported.
Aqeelah Rahim, 45, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man survived but was diagnosed with apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Power at their house had gone out so a generator was running in the garage near the kitchen door.
