York, Pa – Officials in Pennsylvania say an explosion reduced three homes to rubble last night, but no one was seriously hurt.

Five people sustained only minor injuries after the three-story homes collapsed around them. Ranging in age from an infant to a woman in her 80s, they were all treated and released.

York’s deputy fire chief calls it “amazing” that there were no serious injuries.

Three other homes were damaged in the 10 p-m blast. Doors and furniture were blown into the street, and the roof of the houses sat atop a 15-foot high pile of rubble.

Authorities suspect natural gas may have caused the explosion. An investigation is under way.
