NJ – 1010 Wins.com, Hackensack, NJ -City inspectors today are expected to continue to assess the damage from an explosion that damaged stores and apartments on Main Street in Hackensack.

Authorities believe a leaky propane tank in a storage trailer triggered the blast at the south end of the street on Saturday. It was felt a quarter-mile away.

No one was injured. Officials say it was a good thing that the explosion took place on a weekend when the area is less crowded.

Officials have not yet said how many people have been displaced or determined the extent of the damage.

City officials have deemed the buildings structurally unsound.
