Chenoa, IL – Authorities say a family has escaped unharmed after their house exploded this afternoon. The call came in at about 3:30pm for a gas explosion at a home on North Road in Chenoa. Authorities say early indications are that an LP gas tank exploded in the home. Officials tell us the family managed to escape and turn off the gas valve outside the house, preventing further damage. There was no fire, but first responders are calling the home a “destroyed building”.
