Pittsburgh, PA – KDKA-TV – Leaks in a gas line kept residents in a suburban Pittsburgh neighborhood out of their homes this morning. But a utility spokesman says they should be back in their houses by this afternoon.

Firefighters and crews from Equitable Gas Company went to Reserve Township shortly after 5pm yesterday when someone reported the smell of gas.

A spokesman for Equitable gas says crews found the leaks, evacuated ten homes and cut off the gas, electrical and phone service to the area.

The displaced residents stayed with friends or family overnight.

Equitable Gas says crews are fixing the problem and residents will return home by this afternoon.
