Grayslake, IL – Officials believe natural gas caused a home to explode in Lake County near Grayslake this afternoon.
The explosion occurred at about 2:30 p.m., in the 33800 block of Lake Shore Drive, Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christopher Thompson said. No one was home at the time, and no one was hurt, he said.
The explosion caused extensive damage to the home and possibly some damage to a neighboring house, Thompson said.
