South Lake Tahoe, CA – A natural-gas explosion knocked the wall of a Carson Avenue home away from its foundation Sunday, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Authorities learned something was amiss at the house when someone called police about broken-out windows. Officers arrived at about 1:30 p.m. and summoned the fire department when they smelled gas.
Firefighters turned off the gas to the home, aired out the building and then checked inside for any occupants, said South Lake Tahoe Fire Division Chief Brad Piazzo. No one was home at the time.
