Oshtemo Township, MI – A neighbor says it just went off like a bomb hit it. A home at 2387 9th St. in Oshtemo Township was split open and part of it collapsed into the cellar around the noon hour yesterday when a blast ripped it open. The family of 7 that lives there was not home at the time, fortunately.
Investigators suspect the slow build up of natural gas or propane from a leak was probably the cause, but they haven’t confirmed that yet. They will be back today to look again. The home is totaled, part of it is blown off the foundation, and there was debris all over their yard.
