EVERETT, WA- An exhaust leak on a boat Sunday triggered a warning about carbon monoxide poisoning.
Medics drove two children to a local hospital on Sunday afternoon after they inhaled too much carbon monoxide during a boating trip, Everett Fire Department Battalion Chief Joe Johnston said.
He urged people to be careful with engines. In closed spaces, don’t burn barbecues or grills or operate generators or motor vehicles.
Carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms include headache, drowsiness and confusion. Call 911 if you think you may have been poisoned.
