Two Mobile County men who were found dead on a boat

docked in Orange Beach might have died from carbon monoxide poisoning,

police said.

Authorities are still awaiting lab results on the deaths of Eric Morgan of

Coden and Jeff Strenth of Eight Mile.

A friend of the men called the police after finding the men unresponsive

Thursday afternoon in an enclosed cabin on the 35-foot pleasure craft, which

was docked behind a residential area in Arnica Bay.

“We suspect it could possibly be carbon monoxide, but the cases are still

pending at the lab at this point,” Orange Beach police Lt. Steve Brown said.

He said U.S. Coast Guard officials are scheduled to inspect the vessel early

next week.
