NY – WABC — Emergency crews were on the scene of an incident involving carbon monoxide on a New York City block in Soho Tuesday evening.

It happened at 568 Broadway, and Eyewitness News is told that as many as 500 people had to be evacuated from a building there.

There’s no word of any injuries.

The evacuation tied up traffic in the area of Broadway at Houston Street. It was expected to stay that way awhile as crews ventilated the building.
