Freeland, PA – One person was seriously hurt when a propane tank exploded, setting a camping trailer on fire in northern Baltimore County.

The victim was reportedly thrown about 20 feet in the blast.

The man was badly burned and taken to Bayview, according to Elise Armacost with the Baltimore County Fire Department.

It happened at the Morris Meadows Campground on Freeland Road off I-83 just before 10 a.m.

No one else was injured.The injured person’s name has not been released.

The blast and fire destroyed the “pull behind” camper.

The campground is located near Freeland just off I-83 near the Pennsylvania line.
