Spry, Pa. – An explosion and fire that officials said was apparently caused by a natural gas leak destroyed a two-story wood house Wednesday morning. There were no injuries, and the man who lived in the home a few miles south of York was at work at the time, officials said. A small house next door was badly damaged. Homes within a block of the explosion were evacuated, and traffic was routed around the area. “My house shook,” said Evelyn Winger, who lives nearby. “I thought, ’Now what?”’ Parts of the building landed a block away, and a rain gutter ended up hanging from a tree.
