Beverly Hills, MI – WOOD-TV -Carbon monoxide fumes sickened at least 48 people during a worship service in suburban Detroit.

The men, women and children are members of an interfaith group based in Southfield. They have been treated at Royal Oak’s Beaumont Hospital.

The worshipers were at the Kensington Academy, a Catholic day school which the group rents for its services.

It’s the second time this month that carbon monoxide sickened a group of people in Oakland County. Forty people at a high school’s swimming pool were overcome on March fifth. All were treated and released at Beaumont.
