Los Gatos, CA – San Francisco Chronicle – A pair of plumbers injured in a natural gas explosion and fire at a Los Gatos car dealership remained hospitalized Saturday with serious injuries.
Santa Clara County Fire Department officials on Saturday identified the pair as Jeff White and Victor Gomez, employees of Water Clarity Plumbing
of San Jose. They wereworking on a job at the Los Gatos Auto Mall when the explosion occurred at 3: 43 p.m. Friday.
Officials at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center said both victims remained in the burn unit, with White in critical condition and Gomez in serious condition.
Fire inspectors had made little progress in identifying what set off the explosion. Investigators are waiting to talk to the injured plumbers before sifting through the burned building, said Fire Department spokesman
Joe Parker.
The explosion, which was heard in nearby Saratoga, touched off a fire that took an hour to
control.
